Inspired from the original tie-dye technique which became popular in the ‘60s and ‘70s, Valentino develops a unique pre-fall 2016 collection made of contrasting motifs with a mix of washes such as Jamaica, Army Green and Denim.
The Maison’s savoir faire and the Valentino Atelier remain present as a distinguishing element. The result is an original collection made of unique accessories and ready to wear separates to let your inner 60’s vibe loose.
Of course tie-dye is only the opening act of the pre-fall 2016 collection. Bamboo prints turn up on simple long-sleeved dresses, pajama sets, and button-down and pleated skirt combos. In fact there is a lot of cross-print-technique pollination with an emphasis on neutral hues and humble wabi-sabi embroideries of cherry blossoms, clouds, and flying birds on outerwear featuring traditional quilted linings.
