The Manshausen House is a 4 cabin retreat on a wild 55-acre island in the northern part of Norway. The retreat sits within a protected archipelago faultlessly perched on a series of listed old stones.

Tromsø-based architect Snorre Stinessen referenced traditional Norwegian country cabins for his modern lodgings. The cabins are fronted with floor-to-ceiling glass ensuring guests optimum immersion in the area’s idyllic and rugged surroundings. Each lodge includes a bedroom, bathroom and a high-performance Corian kitchen. Lodges are laid out in a modular style with mutable features such as walls that flip down to form tables.

The two-storey Bødtkerboligen house dates back to the 1800s. It was gently restored and is now a central space for dining area and it includes a library.
