The COLIAC Spring 2016 collection explores new styles for sandals, slip on flats and wedges, experimenting with new materials, such as printed varnish with marble pixels.
And for a second season, Coliac presents a vegan line of derby shoes for women in artificial leather in a palette of dark blue, pink, black, and white, with new forms of ‘piercings’ and rhinestones in a style reminiscent of steam-punk. The designer strives to create a futuristic shoe that combines ethics and aesthetics.
Coliac’s successful experimentation and innovation with the Deby show in particular further grounds it as part of the brand’s heritage. According to the show notes, the Derby shoe is presented in unisex. The decorative approaches this season includes applications of pearls and rhinestones; agglomerations of multiform stones embedded on the tip, and colorful whip-stitching to form a fringe.
