The Foundation Louis Vuiton’s LVMH Institut des Métiers d’Excellence in partnership with Pucci hosted 18 new potential designers for esteem brands like Celine, Bulgari and Emilio Pucci. They were received at the LVMH Institut des Metiers d’Excellence headquarters at Palazzo Pucci in Florence late last year.
The inaugural event educated new recruits on the history of Italian artisanal craftsmanship. The event was attended by Florence Mayor Dario Nardella, Toni Belloni, LVMH Group Managing Director, Chantal Gaemperle, LVMH Group Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Synergies, and Gabriella Scarpa, Chairman of LVMH Italy.
The inauguration also celebrated the inital launch of the LVMH IME program in Italy in 2014, the vocational training program was created to ensure the transmission of time-honored artisanal skills for leather goods and for jewelry were passed on to the young generations.
