The #TimesUp movement isn’t the only way women are supporting women in times of need. Supermodel Chrissy Teigen offered on Tuesday to pay a fine imposed on Olympic gold medal gymnast McKayla Maroney if she broke an NDA clause to speak at former USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar’s Tuesday sentence hearing. Larry Nassar sexually assaulted nearly 100 young women including McKayla Maroney and Olympic gymnast Simone Biles. Many of the survivors chose to speak prior to the sentencing and according to Time Magazine USA Gymnastics intended to impose a $100,000 dollar fee if the gymnast spoke at the hearing stating she would violate her NDA agreement.
The news prompted Supermodel and Sports Illustrated cover model Chrissy Teigen to take to twitter and support Maroney.
The entire principle of this should be fought – an NDA to stay quiet about this serial monster with over 140 accusers, but I would be absolutely honored to pay this fine for you, McKayla. pic.twitter.com/lsBEgEqZpD

Rose McGowan chimed in her support to Chrissy Teigan as well.
Your kindness moves me immensely. This is a wonderful act of sisterhood. Thank you .@ChrissyTeigen This is what honest support of a victim looks like. https://t.co/H3i1cn74ld

Later USA Gymnastics said they would revoke the NDA and allow Maroney to speak if she wanted.
Maroney responded to Teigen on Tuesday evening in a statement, saying, “I’m shocked by your generosity, and I just want you to know how much hope your words bring to all of us! I just can’t get over the fact that someone I don’t personally know is sticking up for me, let alone a strong women that I’ve looked up to for years!”
