A Finely Tuned Dose Of Prep: Manuel Ritz Fall/ Winter 2019-20 Collection.

Review by Lucas Pantoja

In their latest fall/winter women’s wear collection Italian designer brand and connoisseurs of the sartorial, Manuel Ritz present a wardrobe suited for the working-urban woman, with a bit more flair and a finely tuned dose of prep.

The collection consists of various suits, masculine in their design but sporty, unstructured, baggy, and rather loose fitting, accompanied by a few other patterned office garments, reflective tennis shoes, vintage-esq coats and jackets, and black sequin camisoles – a little less suitable for the office.

Some of the sneakers may be lacking in tastefulness, but the plaids and seventies appeal of the suits and western neckties make for a look which feels nostalgic yet refreshing; a practical uniform to harbor in your closet.

While buying into suits may come off as tired to many, I love the concept of women dressing in masculine aesthetics and making them their own.

And although the woman presented by Manuel Ritz may look fit for work or running errands in the city, she would look even better leisurely dining for brunch at the country club or reading her novel with an aperol spritz in hand outside a cosmopolitan cafe.
