The Last Dance: Repetto Launches A Ballet Slipper To Say ‘Au Revoir’ To Colette Paris.

In two days Colette will close its door for good. Sarah Andelman announced via Instagram the closure of the concept boutique she opened with her mother almost 20 years ago. During Paris Fashion Week in September, Colette hosted many parties, drawing people who wanted to celebrate the final days of the famous concept store.

The Rue Saint-Honoré spot was a mainstay of the fashion crowd and those who aspired to be in it, hosting pop-ups from established and emerging designers alike and challenging the perceptions of what a “luxury” shopping experience could be.

Our fondest memories were of meeting designers like Karl Lagerfeld and Rick Owens in the small intimate space. We also witnessed the launch of new lines and new brands that have gone on to become sensations.

For the last dance Repetto footwear created a limited edition ballet slipper for the famous Parisian store. The personalized sole “Au Revoir Colette” is a tribute to the beautiful years of their collaboration.

“All good things must come to an end, after twenty wonderful years, Colette will be closing its doors on December 20th of this year,” said the caption of Colette’s Instagram. “Until our last day, nothing will change. Colette will continue to renew itself each week with exclusive collaborations and offerings, also available on our website colette.fr.”
