Miroslava Duma Sells Stake In Buro 24/7 Reportedly After Losing Advertisement For Racists, Transphobic Comments.

Diet Prada reported Miroslava’s announcement to sell her stake in Buro 24/7. The Russian style star was absent from the recent Fall/Winter 2018-19 runway shows and this Friday the editor-turned-digital entrepreneur and investor took to her personal Instagram to announce she sold her stake in Buro 24/7, which she co-founded in 2011 with Fira Chilieva, to a digital media brand.

I am announcing today that I am to sell my stake and make an official exit from Buro24/7, a digital media brand tat I co-founded in 2011, which has now grown to 11 successful international editions and nearly 130 employees globally

Having stepped away from Buro24/7 operation activity over a year ago, this final stage with the sale of my stake was a strategic plan and now feels like a natural step forward. I am confident that I leavethe company in the most capable hands of my partners and global Buro24/7 team.

I am confident that I leave the company in the most capable hands of my partners and the global Buro247 team. This exit will allow me to focus on the development of Future Tech Lab, and other yet unannounced personal projects, as well as making more time to spend with my young family. Buro24/7 has been an amazing journey, and I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together. I wish the Buro24/7 team every success.

It is believed Miroslava Duma’s ill-advised Instagram story of a note from designer Ulyana Sergeenko which contained the N-word, along with other disturbing incidents in Miroslava’s recent past, caused a serious backlash. Last January, Miroslava Duma posted a picture of flowers from her friend and designer Ulyana Sergeenko with a card that read “To my Niggas in Paris”the quote is from a Jay Z and Kanye West song. According to media sources cited by WWD, Buro 24/7 saw a drop of its advertising sales in the last few months as result of the offensive, racist and transphobic comments from the Russian digital entrepreneur.

According to Duma’s Instagram announcement, following the exit from Buro 24/7, she will focus on the development of her Future Tech Lab company aimed at developing more sustainable practices across the fashion supply chain, as well as dedicating more time to both new undisclosed personal projects and her family.
