The Memento Nº2 KENZO collection is a tribute campaign to Kenzo denim. In a press release creative directors Carol lim and Humberto Leon say they explored the Kenzo archive and the iconic motifs of Kenzo (the tiger, The Great Wave of Kanagawa) and took inspiration from the first Memento Kenzo Jeans show in Paris in 1986.

Singer Britney Spears was asked to join the project because she is an icon of both designers. Peter Lindbergh was added to the team to shoot the 90s icon.
Peter Lindbergh is a legend in his own right and he is one of the most respected photographers in the industry. He is most known for his superfluous cover images for British magazine Vogue which featured all the 90s sups -Linda, Naomi, Cindy, Tatiana and Christy.

This isn’t Peter’s first time shooting for Kenzo. He shot the Kenzo Takada campaign in 1982.

For this new collection, he managed to recapture the essence of the world famous pop star. The photo shoot was produced in Los Angeles.

The campaign is slightly cheeky, optimistic and bright, three choice words to describe the new KENZO Memento Nº2 Collection.
