B Michael Spring 2016 collection, dedicated in memory to community leader E’dna Hines, focused on the heritage of “American Style”. The collection recalled a feeling of society ladies from the southern country who’d order custom designs each season with the hope of being declared the ‘Belle of the ball’.
B Michael, a couturier and milliner, began his career working for the likes of Oscar de la Renta, before opening his own label in 1999. The multi-faceted brand now includes a ready-to-wear, accessories and couture line often worn by ladies photographed for page six of national newspapers.
For the Spring 2016 collection designer B Michael used his fashion platform to salute the efforts of the late E’dna Hines and the SonEdna Foundation, a non profit organization that celebrates and promotes the literary arts and writers of all genres and backgrounds in the Delta, in Mississippi, and the world.
