The British Fashion Council (BFC) surprised and delighted American fashionistas when they announced Black-ish star Tracee Ellis Ross as host. As one of Hollywood’s most daring dressers, Ellis Ross made headlines for her looks when she hosted the 2018 American Music Awards. And this year, Tracee sat front row during Couture Fashion Week in Paris including the Chanel and Valentino shows.
The British Fashion Council Fashion Awards 2019 takes place on Monday 2nd December at the Royal Albert Hall in London. It is the biggest and most important fashion awards in the industry. Attendees include designers, business and industry leaders, media, retailers, creatives, models and celebrities from across the globe who come to celebrate extraordinary creative fashion talent. The BFC Awards also raises money for charitable and business support initiatives. And the BFC Fashion Awards are open to the public.
Tracee Ellis Ross is best known for her Golden Globe-winning role as Dr. Rainbow Johnson on the ABC comedy series black-ish and playing Joan Clayton on the long-running hit series Girlfriends. For her role as Rainbow, Ross received numerous accolades including a Golden Globe Award and four NAACP Image Awards. She also garnered three Primetime Emmy nominations and two Critics Choice Award nominations. She is an Executive Producer on the ABC comedy series mixed-ish. Tracee recently wrapped production on the Focus Features comedy COVERS alongside Dakota Johnson, which is set for a May 2020 release.
