Here’s what you missed at the Black Women’s March in Sacramento, Saturday, June 9, 2018.
#1. Supporters came out humbled and grateful to show solidarity, to listen, & empower black women as they marched straight to the California State Capitol Hill Building in Sacramento.
#2. Sponsor organization Black Women United Sacramento (BWUSAC.com) lead the crowd with chants of affirmation.
#3. Local and State politicians participated or took to social media to raise awareness and lend support including Senator Kamala Harris and Senator Holly Mitchell.
#4. Rapper MC Lyte took the stage in front of Capitol Hill to give a speech.
#5. And to close the march, The Hundreds Unit performed.
The march shined a light on the injustices & challenges faced by Black women every day in the USA and the march shows the Sacramento community stands in solidarity with Black Women United for change.
