Tiffany introduces an ‘Out of Retirement’ partnership with Dover Street Market, made up of 18 holiday gift items from Tiffany’s jewelry archives, available exclusively at Dover Street Market in New York city, marking the company’s first-ever collaboration on a capsule collection with another retailer.
“We love this idea of ‘Out of Retirement’. At Tiffany, we don’t discontinue products, but rather we retire them,” Tiffany & Co.’s design director Francesca Amfitheatrof explains. “Tiffany has always been about modernity and beautiful materials—and these pieces are just as modern today as when they were first made.
The resurrected jewelry includes Tiffany’s most timeless pieces from the ‘70s, specifically, one $32,000 bracelet called the ‘Hinge’ that was inspired by a 1973 Blue Book design, and, the magnificently sculptured 18K gold ‘Rectangle Ring’ circa 1971.

In addition to the gold luxury items, a selection of beautiful gift items were chosen for this special holiday project that reinforces Tiffany’s playful side. Like the cheeky “drink like a fish” fish-shaped flask done in Tiffany silver, or the pill box that’s shaped like a Chinese food container.

Each item is placed in the famous Tiffany blue box and comes with its own props staged in a series of replications of Gene Moore’s original window displays from the 70s, like this antique camera display replica that Moore once placed in Tiffany’s famous windows.
